Pandhurna is the 55th district of Madhya Pradesh state and 9th district of Jabalpur division, which came into existence in the year 2023 by separating from Chhindwara district. The area of the district is 1522.22 square km. Is. It is bounded by Nagpur in the south-east, Betul and Amravati in the west and Chhindwara districts in the north respectively. Pandhurna district comes under Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat and has two assembly seats Pandhurna and Sausar. Pandhurna and Sausar two tehsils are located in the border of Pandhurna district.
Pandhurna district is rich in its religious culture and natural beauty. The tourist places here are Shri Miraculous Hanuman Temple, Jamsanwali, Ardhanarishwar Jyotirling, Mohgaon Haveli, and Ghogra Water Falls, world famous Gotmar fair is organized in Ghogra, Tehsil- Sausar and Pandhurna.
